Description

Working with a prepared slab of clay, you can use templates to make this turkey bowl, or use your own design. It will be a perfect bowl to hold your cranberry relish/jelly on your Thanksgiving table.
To make the bowl, first, you will line a paper bowl with clay, and then add your turkey details. You will then clean up your pot, and make it ready for the kiln. Come back a two weeks later to glaze your turkey bowl.
Once fired, the bowl is microwavable, dishwasher safe and oven proof, if protected from thermal shock.
You can pick up your bowl within 3 weeks from when you glaze it.
This is the project for Sunday 10/25. The Slow Sunday workshop is offered from 2 – 4 pm. It will probably take you about an hour to make the bowl. A different project will be offered each week.
Payment may be made through this website or at the door with cash. Attending a drop in studio does not count towards the prerequisite requirements for attending open studio.
Please review the studio rules before committing to this workshop.
