What could be more beautiful in your garden than a birdbath you created yourself! Using rhubarb leaves from my garden (you are welcome to bring your own, but my kiln is only so big, so the leaves can be no bigger than 15 inches in any direction) you will make a clay fossil of the leaf. We will then form the leaf around a mold in order to give it depth so it can hold water. Next week you will come back and glaze your leaf. Rhubarb has wonderful veining, so will will talk about ways to highlight or accentuate the veins using glazes. I do not have a bird bath in inventory, so as soon as I have one made, I will add it to this post. This workshop will take place July 17 and 24 from 10 am to noon.
