Description

What could be more beautiful in your garden than a birdbath you created yourself! Using rhubarb (or you could choose burdock) leaves from my garden (you are welcome to bring your own, but my kiln is only so big, so the leaves can be no bigger than 15 inches in any direction) you will make a clay fossil of the leaf. We will then form the leaf around a mold in order to give it depth so it can hold water. Two weeks later , July 15, you will come back and glaze your leaf. Rhubarb and burdock have wonderful veining, so will will talk about ways to highlight or accentuate the veins using glazes.  This workshop will take place July 1 and 15 , 6 – 8 pm.

Come July – My rhubarb may be looking pretty straggly – burdock, on the other hand, should be good.
