SUMMARY:Make a Fruit Bowl - June
DESCRIPTION:This is a beginner class – no experience needed!  All ages over 12 years welcome! (Younger children should be accompanied)  \nJoin us on June  1 and 8 from 10 – 12 noon to make the bowl shown\, or one very similar\, that reflects your very own creativity!  This bowl\, which is about 9 inches wide\, and is oven and dishwasher safe\, microwavable and food safe. The holes make it a good fruit bowl\, allowing air to circulate around the fruit. \nDuring this 2 day workshop you will be led through the steps to make your very own bowl.  The first day\, which will take about 2 hours\, we will make the bowl\, and cover different ways to decorate it. The bowl is made from a slab of clay\, molded\, and then finished on the wheel. Once the bowl is made\, you can finish it by cutting a design into the clay. The second scheduled day\, we will finish the bowl by glazing it with any mixture of glazes available. Hundreds of possibilities. Your plate will be ready for you to take home within 3 weeks of you finishing it.  \nThe workshop will take place June 1 and 8 from 1o am to 12 noon. The first class will likely take the full two hours.  The second class will likely take just an hour.  \nThe class is limited to 6 people. Grab a friend and make a morning of it. \nI have been teaching pottery and ceramics in a variety of situations\, for all age groups\, for more than 30 years. I absolutely love teaching and sharing my love of clay with others. \nClick here to sign up\nPlease review my studio rules before committing to this class.

SUMMARY:Make a Planter - June
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a plant that you love and want to create a planter that will show off just how unique or pretty it is? \nJoin us Saturday evenings in June for this beginner class to make a planter.  The planter with feature a textured outside and attached saucer for drainage. You can add holes to make it a hanging planter\, or just leave it to sit beautifully on your table or windowsill. The planter will be a maximum of 7 inches tall by 5 inches wide – you can make it smaller\, if needed. We’ll use different items to add texture to the outside for visual interest – or you can leave it plain and just let the glaze do its magic. The planter will be made using slabs of clay and molds\, but finished on the wheel.  The class will be limited to 6 students and will involve sharing of the wheels. \nThe class will meet two days. The first day we will make the planter. You will then come back the following week to glaze the planter. The days will be Saturday \, June 3 and 10 from 5 – 7  pm. The first class will likely take the full 2 hours\, the second class will probably be just one hour. \n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\nYour planter will be ready for pick up within 3 weeks following the last class.   \nClick Here to sign up for this class\nPlease familiarize yourself with my rules of the studio before committing to this class.

SUMMARY:Make a Tray - June
DESCRIPTION:Beautiful and functional…what could be better? Using a mold and a slab of clay\, you will make a tray that reflects your own creativity. This is a two day event. The first day we will make the tray\, and decorate with stamps to provide texture\, or you can use one of the many rolling pins I have with beautiful unique textures. You can add handles…or not. The second day\, the following week\, you will glaze your tray. The first day will likely take the full two hours as contemplating the many ways to decorate takes time. The second week\, when you will glaze your tray\, will take around an hour. The tray is dishwasher safe\, microwavable\, and ovenproof\, if protected from thermal shock. The tray is about 12 x 8 by about 1 inch deep. \nThe class will take place Sunday  June 4 and 11 from 1 – 3    pm. The class will be limited to 8 people. \nThe finished tray will make a great charcuterie board – how fun that you can say to your guests that not only did you make the great display of food – but you also made the tray! \n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\nTo reserve a seat\, click here\nPlease review my studio rules before committing to this class.

SUMMARY:Open Studio - June 10
DESCRIPTION:Feeling creative!? Join us Saturday Mornings from 10-12:30 am to make your own creations. Bonnie will be available to provide technical assistance for you to achieve your clay ideas. Pretty much no limit on what you can make. This day and time will be  offered for open studio through most of the spring\, that is\, through June.   \nThis will be a test run for the month of June\, where 8 pounds of clay and materials are  included in the price.  If you make something at home\, or take something home to work on\, you will be charged an additional fee for glazes and/or  firing.  If you have never done an open studio before\, it is good to come to the workshop with the intention of making 3 things (3 plates\, mugs\, bowls…) You may not make all 3\, but you will get a good start on them. I will help you with technical advice for construction of your design.  If you plan to work on the wheel\, you need to plan on at least 2 more open studios\, one more to trim your pots\, and a final one to glaze.  \nPrerequisite: 2 previous classes or workshops with me\, or a completed 4 week or more class. Limit of 4 people per class.  \nTo reserve your seat\, click here \nThis workshop is best for students who can work independently\, and are comfortable with the rules of the studio. \n \n
