SUMMARY:Cancelled- Drop In Sunday - Make a Valentine Wall Hanging
DESCRIPTION:For the month of January\, the Sunday Drop In Workshop will focus on making Valentine themed items. This Sunday\, January 7\, (weather permitting) we will be making a heart shaped wall hanging. You will be provided with one slab of clay\, about 8 x 11 inches\, heart template\, and instructions and help on how to make it. Use the template\, or make a wall hanging of your own design. You can add beads or pendants to hang from it\, or texture to add interest… Lots of different ways to make it special. A perfect gift for yourself\, or someone special. This is a good project for all ages. \nSunday drop in projects are meant to take a half hour to make. Come back the following week and glaze it. Your project should be ready for pick up within 3 weeks of you glazing it. Don’t have time to glaze it – let one of our staff help. Payment can be made through this website\, or in person with cash. \nPlease review my studio rules before committing to this workshop.\n

SUMMARY:Drop In Sunday - Make a Folded Bowl
DESCRIPTION:Looking for something to do with friends and family who may be visiting this week? How about a folded bowl? Functional\, attractive\, and a fun creative project for all ages.  \n(The bowls pictured I just made and have not been fired or glazed.) \nUsing a prepared slab of clay\, and a template\, you will be led through the steps to make a bowl similar to the one pictured. Make it yours by adding texture\, or clay decorations.   \nSign up for the following week’s project\, and you can glaze your bowl\, too\, or let one of our staff glaze the pot for you. You can pick up your bowl 3 weeks from when you make it. (You can also come back once your bowl has been fired and glaze it for no additional cost.) \nThis is the project for Sunday 1/14/24. The drop in workshop is offered from 2 – 4 pm.  It will probably take you about half an hour to make the bowl. The more detail you add the longer it will take. You can come any time between those hours – just plan on half an hour to make the project. \nA different project will be offered every weekend. Projects for the new year include\, a heart bowl\, a heart wall hanging\, and a heart pocket vase. Once glazed and fired the pots will be dishwasher safe\, microwaveable and oven proof. DESCRIPTION:This is a pretty open ended Sunday Drop In. I have a fish sculpture I made that is posted\, but you could also use the slab of prepared clay (about 8.5 x 11) to make one fish. Up to you. I have a lot of stuff that folks need to come in and glaze\, so I am hoping they will…The driftwood is not included\, but if you need a piece\, I have some.. Makes great bathroom art.   \nYou could also make a fish that looks like these pictured that I stole from the internet. You can mix fun textures into your fish\, and do a final dazzling glaze finish. \nTo pay ahead of time\, click here.
