Make a Strip Bowl

Using strips of textured clay, we will make a functional, and decorative, bowl.  It is a little less than a foot in diameter, and would make a nice fruit bowl, or dish to hold chips and snacks.  The final bowl will be dishwasher safe, microwavable, and oven proof. 

This will be a community bowl building activity. Every one will have a piece of clay and a rolling pin. They will roll out their clay and then cut into strips, then we will swap and trade strips to finish our bowl. After you make the bowl, you will come back and glaze the bowl. Use the color scheme pictured, or choose from the hundreds of other  possibilities available. 

Never worked with clay before? This might be the workshop for you as an introduction!

The class will meet Sunday, April 2 from 1 – 3 pm, and again 2 weeks later, April 16 from 1 – 3 pm.
