Make a Fruit Bowl

This is a beginner class – no experience needed!  All ages over 12 years welcome! (Younger children should be accompanied) 

Join us on November 17 and 24 from 6 – 8 pm. to make the bowl shown, or one very similar, that reflects your very own creativity!  This bowl, which is about 9 inches wide, and is oven and dishwasher safe, microwavable and food safe. The holes make it a good fruit bowl, allowing air to circulate around the fruit.

During this 2 day workshop you will be led through the steps to make your very own bowl.  The first day, which will take about 2 hours, we will make the bowl, and cover different ways to decorate it. The bowl is made from a slab of clay, molded, and then finished on the wheel. Once the bowl is made, you can finish it by cutting a design into the clay. The second scheduled day, we will finish the bowl by glazing it with any mixture of glazes available. Hundreds of possibilities. Your plate will be ready for you to take home within 3 weeks of you finishing it. 

The workshop will take place November 17 and 24 from 6 – 8 pm. The first class will likely take the full two hours.  The second class will likely take just an hour. 

The class is limited to 6 people. Grab a friend and make a evening of it.

I have been teaching pottery and ceramics in a variety of situations, for all age groups, for more than 30 years. I absolutely love teaching and sharing my love of clay with others.
