Drop In Sunday – Leafy Cheese and Cracker Tray

Next time you have friends over, won’t it be great to serve them cheese and crackers on a tray you made yourself? It will be dishwasher safe, oven proof, and microwavable. 

This Sunday, you will be provided with a slab of clay, big enough to cover a plastic tray mold. Into that slab of clay, you will press leaves, either those you collected yourself, or others that I will collect. You will take that slab of clay and press it into mold, creating a tray shape. Come back 2 weeks later and glaze it. You will be provided with underglazes, which are applied and then wiped back, showing all the wonderful fine detail of the leaf. The tray is about 14 inches long and 5 inches wide. 

This is a great proect for folks of all abilities and ages.
